The Team

Mark Nolan P. Confesor

Professor of Physics and Principal Investigator

Director, Complex Systems Research Center - PRISM

An experimental physicist immerses himself in non-equilibrium systems within Soft Matter and Biological Physics. He engages in simulations and theoretical analyses to complement his practical pursuits. Collaborating with students and colleagues, his research encompasses: Thermodynamics of Active Systems, Physical mechanism of tactic behavior of Physarum polycephalum, Elucidation of Non-equilibrium Forces using Optical Tweezers, and development of novel actuators for microfluidic devices.
